I know that Helix had worked to revamp the website, but for the time-being I have restructured the website to a form similar to what it was before. There are several reasons why I did this:
~Availability of information-with the newer version the pages with admins, rules, and bans weren't available to click on unless you knew the URL for the direct pages.
~Site links-at the top of the page, you can now (again)click to join the facebook, steam group, server, etc.
~Accessibility-layout of the forums, latest news posts, etc. were harder to use with the newer version
~Old functions-online users, user settings, and other options *should* be easier to get to now
Please comment here or vote on the poll to express your opinion on which version of the site you would prefer. If you have suggestions for the current layout, comment and I will see what I can do to meet your requests.

Reply to this | Issues I am already aware of: At the top of the site, it has "Connect to Circus of Values"-which no longer exists. I have yet to figure out how to remove that link, so currently it'll remain there. The chatbox, if you click to see all of the posts, is in a format which is difficult to read (a problem that was previously complained about) but again, I do not see any way in which that can be changed currently. |

Reply to this | Maybe this is in the wrong place, but is there any way to show more than ten new posts when using http://gravitybong.net/plugins/forum/forum.php?new ? |

Reply to this | Increase the amount of recent posts shown on the front page? (Posts/replies, not new threads) We had like 10+ when we used this layout before, right? Also silent, I wanna make babies with you. |

Reply to this | Dave: I do not believe so, that's just a default setting so unfortunately it's not customizable from what I can tell. Hick: Done-I've increased the recent posts to 10-I'm just trying not to overpower either column on each side of the news. |

Reply to this | I'm a fan of the old (new?) version myself, and it seemed like the forums really died down when the layout was changed; hopefully they'll start to pick up a bit now. Also, I am waiting for them Russian spammers to show up in this comment thread. |

Reply to this | To be honest I like the current (older) version better, not that I didn't like the new version but to me the old version is easier to navigate and use. I appreciate all the effort Helix, Hick, Silent, and the others are putting into making the Bong community happy and providing a page that works for everyone. Thank you guys! The color of the new one made it look clean and I really liked the login and settings toolbar on top and having the option to pop it out or click it off screen. When it came to making posts it took a little longer to figure and find all settings and buttons like quote and edit then I did over the old one. Plus it was easier to reply to posts that showed what people had posted instead of showing the forum topics. The chatbox in both are the same. I don't know if any of what i said helps but that's my opinion. ![]() |
