Can we see about finding/getting a plug in that auto kicks people after so many name changes after a certain period of time?

I think this might be a good aid in dealing with hackers, especially if there is no admin on at the time. The most popular hack this "LMFAOBOX"/"Howling heavy" garbage seems to use the name change crap by default, and nearly every blatant hacker I've seen has used a name change hack/script.

I suggest it because it seems like tf2 is getting more hackers lately.

I've seen two on the bong in just the last week.

Just an idea.

Watcha think?

I doubt something like this exists but even if it did, with our luck it would kick everyone but the hacker.

I know I've heard of such plug ins before, but when I tried googling one up it was old and out of date.

If a plugin like that existed, Valve would have bought it so they could fix the namechanging horseshit that people do to avoid bans when hacking. Or at the very least, every single server in the world would already be running it for that same purpose.

Edit: disregard this shitty post that I forgot to hit the submit button on for fifteen minutes, since in that time I was proven to be an idiot.

A plugin like that does exist. See above message.

https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=161320

FAQ:
Q. Why is it amount of time between detections and not the number of detections in a certain amount of time?
A. That would add a lot of complexity to the plugin, mainly with having to track ncp_detections -1 timestamps for each user that has changed their names. For performance reasons, it's recommended in SourcePawn that you don't re-index arrays.

I literally just reinstalled and tested that frost. It's what I tried before.

Turns out, valve added a stock cvar to give namechanges a configurable cooldown. That cvar apparently messes with the plugin. I disabled it and the plugin seems to work fine.

3 hour ban if you spam name changes too much.

Clarification edit: I went with a ban instead of a kick because 99% of the namechangers are also hackers. If any regulars get caught by it on accident just let an admin know (go ahead and get your steam id ready to speed up the process pls)
