I use it primarily for gaming but do a lot of video/audio editing & DJ'ing on it. Does great.  Gateway P-171 XL FX Processor 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme X7900 Memory 3GB, 667MHz DDR2 Hard drive 400GB 7,200rpm (200GB x2) Chipset Intel GM965 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTS (512mb @ 1920x1200 res) Nifty buttons for volume & media control.  HDMI out, VGA out, Firewire, USB, Ethernet...etc I still DJ and the sound device I use is firewire - works great:  Useless "HD DVD" drive and a couple more USB Ports:  Battery, power & modem:  The USB headset I use:  I like to be able to hear the outside world which is why I opted for the "1 ear" design. I also like that it's usb so I just plug it in, and whenever it's plugged in, the sounds and recording pickup go to it instead of the actual laptop. Microsoft Mouse:   2000 dpi mouse. I usually use it at 800dpi and the two silver thumb buttons are set to different weapons (Melee & pistol/secondary). I have really big paws so this thing fits great in my hand. That is all...now let's see yours! I know some of you out there have set-ups that are just out of control! Processor: 2.67GHz Intel Quad Core Memory: 4GB Hard drives: 2TB 5400rpm (1 internal, 1 external) Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8800M GTX 512mb Also a lightscribe drive, and like Khamir, an useless HD DVD drive  Creative Fatality Gaming Headset-I feel like the biggest dork in the world when wearing it, but it's comfortable at least.  Logitech MX Revolution-wireless, but it serves me well and I <3 it.  Keyboard-sexy   Speakers: Creative Gigaworks T20 For school/work on the go, I also have a HP Tablet PC Tx1000-12.1" screen, AMD Athlon Dual X2 Processor 2.33 GHz, 2GB Memory, 250GB hard drive, and all sorts of goodies.   Steam Alias: KaeBii Class: Anything Posts: 243 |  This is just a picture of the case I have, an Antec 900, which I basically got for its well-known cooling abilities. It also looks nice, which is a plus. System specs: Mobo: ASUS P5N-E SLI NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI CPU: Intel Core2Duo E6600 Gfx: EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB Memory: 2GB HDD: 400GB (which I use less than 200 of >_>)  I use an IBM mouse that was free! 8D  My monitor is a big fat one that came with my old Compaq, and my keyboard is an HP one that came with the replacement computer for that system when it broke within the warranty (HP bought out Compaq). The picture shows the same speakers I use as well, which also came with my computer. I have a Logitech headset that's got great sound from the speakers, but the mic sucks...which is why I never talk. I get tons of feedback, even when I use the headset instead of the speakers. | ||

Vali, I searched high and low and the gateway (for a laptop anyway) couldn't be beat at the time. I mean a 512mb 8800GTS for that price!? I would have been dumb NOT to.
