I'm looking to pickup new monitors.. but I'm pretty indecisive on it because there are so many options. I'm currently rocking dual 21" no-name brands.

What are you guys using, what would you recommend, would you pick a widescreen 30" or dual 23" setup?

I've got two 24"s, a Samsung and an LG. They both look great but the display on my LG is a little bit crisper. I've had shitty luck with no-name monitors not lasting for as long as I'd want them to so I tend to stick with name brands... just waited for decent sales on both of these guys.

E: I would definitely go with dual monitors over one big fucker. Lets you play a full screen game or whatever in one and do whatever else in the other.

If you still game a lot I'd suggest a 120hz monitor. Asus makes one that is a lot cheaper then it's brother (same panel just a different stand and a gamer logo). All you have to do is set the color and forced lightboost. There are a ton of tutorials.

I use a 24" and 19" monitor. The other guy is mainly for messages and monitoring my system.

I can't paste the URL from my phone. The model number is VG248QE.

i just got a 24 inch BENQ 120hz "gaming" display. i really like it, took a bit to get the colors right but its a great monitor

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CIPkr8DGwbsCFbB9OgodVmkAsg&Item=N82E16824014350&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-LCD+%2f+LED+Monitors-_-N82E16824014350&ef_id=UrWo3wAAAXdbuGCv:20131221144239:s

that monitor is a TE model or something. i got mine refurbished off of Woot.com for like 230

also id go with dual monitors over a single big ass one. definitely dont do 3 monitors, such a waste of money.

BenQ is great but the same monitor as the Asus VG248QE. The panel is the same. The price difference is a fancier stand and brand name. For $230, that's a wicked good deal.

Out of the box the BenQ has better colors but there are tutorials on how to make them the same.

NewEgg has the Asus monitor for $223 (open box).

If you USE them, there is nothing wrong with three monitors... MY IDEAL setup would be three 22" on the desk and a fourth 32" + up on the wall above everything.

I have three monitors right now, in a vertical setup, and I can not function if one of them is not working.
