i was a little skeptical after the first episode but then it kept getting better and better. what cinched it for me as a A+ show was the third episode. dat ending doe. and then THAT was topped by the 6-minute tracking shot in the fourth episode, holy hell. and sunday's episode? incredible.

that being said, i feel like a piece of human garbage when i watch it. reeeeeal depressing.

also hello

Yeah it's pretty fucking grimdark but it's not doing that for the sake of doing it, very much fits the cosmic horror/ existential dread theme of the show.

100% agree with what you said about the long take. The shot itself was insane, but the way the entire episode was just steadily building tension, leading up to a final scene that would have been intense on its own, but was exacerbated by the build-up, then the long take just made it even crazier. That was the best few minutes of television I have seen in a long, long time.

Love me some 'cosmic horror' and 'existential dread'

Sounds like something a pretentious art critic would say. XD

Unless next week is the worst letdown of all time, this author really knows how to craft a story without losing the threads along the way.

I'm going to pickup his book, Galveston, if I don't hate him after Sunday.
