I like to take photos. I'm always talking about it so I figure I'd post some for the few that expressed interest.

The aftermath of our wire-crew's area following TONS of wire-pulling jobs:

An epxress-way at night shot from an overpass:

Local art gallery:

The most goddamned majestic cat you will ever lay eyes on:

A back-alley downtown:

One of the baptist churches after a rain at night:

An old abandoned shed for a pump-house:

Thank you! It's one of those things I love. I'm no professional, but I like to pretend I am. It's therapeutic to me. I like to scout out places, imagine "Hmm, is there a photograph there??" and just go for it.

On the left is the old setup (Digital Rebel XTi with the 18-55mm, sold to help fund the new camera) and on the right is the 6D I picked up back in January. I got it with the EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens. I recently picked up a Canon 70-200 f4 IS lens to reach out a bit further. I'm happy as a pig in shit with both of those lenses. I also have a tri-pod (SLIK able 300DX), remote and flash (430 EX II).

Ever try doing some urban exploration and take pictures of the inside of abandoned buildings?

I'm fond of photos like these:

Scruff, thanks.

Sora: We don't have many abandoned buildings. The ones we do have are pretty heavily guarded. Also, it's hard to show up un-announced. I guess it would be easier if I was younger and had a "partner in crime" to drop me off/pick me up. At 38, it's a bit trickier

For now, I'll stick to stuff that's "legal" and easy to access. As it is, most of the time I go out is when the wife is at Kung-Fu/Krav Maga....she takes the jeep liberty and I take the 5'er. It's hard to be inconspicuous in a white large sedan.

He's got nice stuff, but what's with all the fish-eye lens pics? He has some amazing places to shoot!

I think it's because he uses the shots for his webcomic. It's beautifully done, you should check it out some time: http://romanticallyapocalyptic.com/
