I'm pleased to announce that our little old website now supports WEBM files. Feel free to use them in comments, forum posts, and for late night pleasure.

What is WEBM?

WebM is a format for HTML5 video that is designed to be high-quality and royalty-free. HTML5 video makes video a built-in part of the Web platform the way images have been already.

Usage on Site

Eventually the aim is to have a button similar to youtube or images. But for now you must include the following markup in your posts:

<video controls><source src="" type='video/webm; codecs="vp8, vorbis"'></video>

Where src= is the location of the file.

In addition, you can now upload .webm files to our site using the typical upload method. Just copy link address after uploading (and previewing) and make sure to include it in the src.
